How XP, Ranks and Competitiveness Will Work

Many of you have been asking how the XP, ranks, and competitiveness system will work, so here's the full explanation.

Everything related to competition and ranks in the beta is just a placeholder for the final system. The XP and levels you earn through the app's standard flow will NOT affect your rank or global leaderboard position. These are individual and calculated based on each user's own profile and goals — it doesn't matter if a user marks tasks as completed without doing them, or farms XP with skillbooks; that only affects that user.

The ranking system works differently, relying on a new type of task called monitored tasks. These are more complex and use resources like GPS, camera motion tracking, and smartwatch data to validate that a task was actually completed. Completing one of these tasks contributes to Rank XP, an exclusive XP used to climb the ranking system. Instead of leveling up, the milestones in this mode are ranks, from Rank E to Rank S, ensuring the integrity of competition among players.
