Trust System

The Trust System is a core social reputation mechanic in Levelite. It serves as a direct metric of a user's standing within the community, indicating how active, reliable, and well-known they are among their peers.

Overview

In Levelite, a high Trust score represents a player who positively contributes to the app's ecosystem. Rather than being earned solely through individual grinding, Trust is deeply tied to social interactions, community engagement, and peer recognition. Accumulating Trust is essential for users who wish to unlock advanced social features and establish themselves as prominent community figures.

Earning and Giving Trust

Users can accumulate Trust points through two primary methods:

Hosting Popular Challenges: When a user creates a custom Challenges and successfully gathers 10 or more participants, the creator is rewarded with Trust points. This encourages the creation of engaging and motivating tasks for the community.
Peer-to-Peer Recognition: Users have the ability to give Trust points directly to other players. If you find someone helpful, inspiring, or a great trading partner, you can reward them with Trust. Each player has 3 Trust Points available to give. If you find someone you trust, you can give them a Trust Point. Likewise, they can give a Trust Point back to you if they trust you as well.

There are two other possible methods for obtaining trust points:

Reporting something: By reporting an error in the app or offering a suggestion to the developers through the "Report Something" tab, you can receive between 3 and 8 trust points.
Contributing to the wiki: By contributing information to the wiki, whether by editing an existing page or creating a completely new one, you can receive up to 30 trust points. Point earnings, however, depend on your contribution being approved by the administrators.

Benefits and Unlocks

Gathering Trust is not just a status symbol; it has tangible impacts on a user's progression and capabilities within the app:

Feature Unlocking: Certain major social features are locked behind Trust requirements. Most notably, users must reach a specific Trust threshold before they are granted the ability to create and lead their own Guilds. This ensures that only established and reliable users manage community hubs.
Passive Upgrades: Accumulating Trust points provides various passive upgrades and enhancements to the user's account.

Passive Upgrades

0 Trust: Combat Mastery. Gain +0.2% damage for each Trust point received, capped at +30%.
100 Trust: Gem Collector. Earn one gem per month.
120 Trust: Item Hunter. Start receiving consumable items when completing tasks.
180 Trust: Treasure Seeker. Receive a rare chest upon completing the day.
200 Trust: Guild Master. Can create a guild.
400 Trust: Divine Favor. Receive a random divine blessing every day.
1,200 Trust: Legend Ascendant. Receive an epic chest every time you level up.
4,000 Trust: Iron Will. Take 10% less damage.
5,000 Trust: Fortune's Blessing. 10% chance to receive double items from chests or boxes.
