Raids are high-stakes, cooperative boss battles in Levelite that require teamwork, strategy, and careful resource management. In these massive encounters, up to 8 players can join forces to defeat powerful Bosses and claim rare rewards.
Summoning a Boss
Bosses do not appear randomly; they must be deliberately summoned by a player using a specific Summoning Scroll. These rare scrolls can be acquired through several methods:
- Dropping from reward chests.
- Winning standard battles.
- Purchasing them from other users via Player Shops.
Combat Mechanics: Shared Energy
Raid combat introduces a unique twist to standard battles. In addition to individual HP (Health Points) and Mana, the entire Raid group shares a single, collective Energy Pool.
- Energy Consumption: Every skill or special attack used by a player consumes a portion of this shared Energy.
- Energy Recovery: Because the Energy pool is finite and shared among up to 8 players, the group must strategize. To recover Energy for the team, a player must choose to skip their turn instead of using a skill.
- Items: The use of consumables, such as health or mana potions, is permitted during a Raid. However, using a potion consumes the player's entire turn.
Turn System and IRL Timers
To accommodate players with different schedules, Raids utilize a customizable Real-Life (IRL) timer system managed by the Raid Creator.
- Setting the Timer: When creating the Raid, the host sets a maximum IRL time limit for each turn (for example, 30 minutes).
- Executing Actions: All participating players have until the timer runs out to select and lock in their action (attack, use a potion, or skip).
- Turn Resolution: If all players lock in their actions before the timer ends, the Boss executes its attack, and the next turn begins.
- Timeouts: If a player fails to take an action before the IRL timer expires, their turn is automatically skipped, and the Boss proceeds with its phase.
Trivia
- Communication is crucial! Because the Energy pool is shared, a disorganized team can easily drain all the Energy in the first round, leaving everyone defenseless. It is highly recommended to coordinate with the Raid members to decide who attacks and who skips to regenerate Energy. Having tanks, damage dealers and healers is the key to defeating those bosses.
