Upgrade Stones are enhancement materials in Levelite used to improve equipment through the Crafting system.
Each stone focuses on a particular attribute, allowing players to customise their equipment according to their preferred combat style. Upgrade Stones also come in different rarities, with higher-quality stones providing more powerful enhancements.
Overview
Upgrade Stones are essential materials for improving equipment beyond its original attributes.
Their primary functions include:
Increasing equipment attributes such as Speed or elemental damage.
Strengthening existing equipment effects.
Increasing equipment rarity.
Customising equipment for different character builds.
Stacking enhancements to improve specific attributes further.
Upgrade Stones are consumed through the equipment enhancement process, which also requires Mana Crystals.
Upgrade Stone Rarities
Upgrade Stones are available in different quality levels. Higher rarities provide stronger enhancements but require more valuable crafting materials.
Rare: Rare Upgrade Stones provide an increase of X to X. Requires Mana Crystals and are best for early equipment improvements and lower-cost enhancements.
Epic: Epic Upgrade Stones provide an increase of X to X. Requires Refined Mana Crystals and are best for improving valuable equipment and developing specialised builds.
Legendary: Legendary Upgrade Stones an increase of approximately +120 power. Requires Refined Mana Crystals and are best for High-value equipment, advanced character builds, and maximising combat effectiveness.
Note: The +20 and +120 power figures are examples from the Crafting documentation, not universal values for every stone. The exact improvement depends on the Upgrade Stone used.

Sources
Upgrade stones can be found in a number of places but the primary sources are:
Dungeons for low level upgrade stones. These can be re-entered using keys.
Epic and legendary Rune chests: These can be obtained in greyspire by trading scraps with Ethan or Coins/Recipes with Thomas. These refresh over time so it's good to check often.
Mana Requirements for Upgrades
Upgrade Stones are used through the Crafting system. To upgrade an item you will need the piece of equipment, an upgrade stone and the required mana crystal. The required enhancement materials, determined by the stone's rarity and the number of previous enhancements.
Regular Mana Crystal Requirements
For Rare-grade Upgrade Stones and below, the documented requirements are:
First Enhancement: 20 Mana Crystals
Second Enhancement: 40 Mana Crystals
Third Enhancement: 60 Mana Crystals
Fourth Enhancement: 80 Mana Crystals (Mindbreaker only)
Fifth Enhancement: 100 Mana Crystals (Mindbreaker only)
Refined Mana Crystal Requirements
Epic and Legendary Upgrade Stones require Refined Mana Crystals instead of regular Mana Crystals.
First Enhancement: 5 Refined Mana Crystals
Second Enhancement: 10 Refined Mana Crystals
Third Enhancement: 15 Refined Mana Crystals
Fourth Enhancement: 20 Refined Mana Crystals (Mindbreaker only)
Fifth Enhancement: 25 Refined Mana Crystals (Mindbreaker only)
Requirements increase with each enhancement applied to the equipment.
Enhancement Stacking
Upgrade Stones can be used to enhance the same attribute multiple times. When multiple enhancements affect the same attribute, their effects are combined through stacking. For example:
First Enhancement: +20 Speed
Second Enhancement: +20 Speed
Combined Enhancement: +40 Speed
This is an illustrative example. Actual values depend on the stones applied. Stacking allows players to specialise equipment in particular attributes rather than distributing improvements across several different statistics.
Equipment Restrictions
Not every piece of equipment item can be enhanced.
