The Visionary is one of the six playable Classes in Levelite. Rather than relying on physical strength, they overwhelm enemies through powerful spells and careful prediction, making them one of the primary magical damage dealers in both solo content and Raids.

Overview

Visionaries fill the role of the traditional mage. Their combat style revolves around maximising magical damage while avoiding direct confrontation whenever possible.

Unlike physical classes, Visionaries belong to the Arcanum Skill Core alongside Mindbreaker and Aquamancer. Their available skills are unlocked through the Arcanum skill tree, allowing players to customise their build through branching paths as they progress.

Powers and Abilities

Choosing the Visionary class grants several permanent advantages focused on magical combat and battlefield awareness.

Arcane Mastery: Visionaries gain a permanent +8% Magical Damage, increasing the effectiveness of all magical attacks. This bonus makes Visionary one of Levelite's primary burst-damage classes, capable of dealing significant magical damage during difficult encounters and Raids.

Foresight (Passive): Through their mastery of precognition, Visionaries gain a permanent +15% chance to dodge incoming attacks. Rather than absorbing damage, Visionaries often avoid it entirely by predicting enemy actions before they occur. This makes positioning and resource management especially rewarding for experienced players.

Foresight (Battle + Greyspire Ability): The Visionary's class ability can also be activated while exploring Greyspire. By consuming 30% of their Mana, Visionaries can reveal information about the upcoming floor before entering it, including:

Raid Boss Analysis: During raids, visionaries are able to tap on the boss and identify its strengths and weaknesses, they will also be the only ones able to see the exact HP remaining. Other classes will just see a health bar.

Greyspire NPC Quests: Visionaries are able to interact with NPCs in Greyspire and take on quests.

Weaknesses

Physical Frailty

Visionaries devote themselves entirely to magical study, sacrificing physical strength.

As a result, they receive a permanent −10% Physical Damage penalty, making normal weapon attacks significantly less effective than spellcasting.

Because of this limitation, Visionaries perform best when focusing on magical equipment and abilities rather than physical combat.

Skill Progression

Visionaries progress through the Arcanum Skill Core. After selecting the class, players unlock abilities by advancing through the Arcanum skill tree. Skills are earned by meeting progression requirements such as:

Each route in the Skill tree roughly align to the different mage classes but that doesn't mean you need to stick to those routes.

Visionaries serve primarily as ranged magical damage dealers.

Their strengths include:

Excellent scaling with magical equipment
Strategic utility in Greyspire through Foresight

Their weaknesses include:

Lower durability than defensive classes

When paired with defensive allies such as Guardians or support classes like Aquamancers, Visionaries can consistently deal high damage while avoiding unnecessary risk.

History

The Visionary has received several updates since Levelite's launch.

February 2025: Class abilities were fixed, and the Visionary's original class ability allowed players to predict dungeon difficulty and enemies by consuming 20% Mana. Players were also granted a class reset item after earlier class descriptions were found to be inaccurate.
May 2026: Following the Skill Tree Rework, Visionaries became part of the new Arcanum Skill Core, replacing the previous class ability progression system with the branching Skill Tree.
July 2026: The Visionary's class ability evolved into Foresight, allowing players to spend 30% Mana to preview upcoming Greyspire floors, including bosses, biome information, and chest rewards.

Trivia

In Raids Visionaries can use their analysis ability to share the Boss's weaknesses with the rest of the team and monitor the exact health remaining.
The Visionary's signature ability, Foresight, is the only class ability that provides advance information about Greyspire floors before entering them.
